HIDDEN PENIS REPAIR
Pt is 4 month old with entrapped penis after newborn circumcision. OP involves "release of concealed penis, redo circumcision, coverage of deficient ventral penile skin using excess dorsal penile skin-raised Byars flaps. The initial circ resulted in too much of the penile skin being excised. There was not enough skin for skin coverage and flaps had to be raised to make up for this, especially ventrally." This is a lengthy OP, and cannot use snippit on facility document. If need be, I'll type the whole thing, but hoping some else has seen this kind of repair.
I am thinking it is an unspecified code, 55899, since redo circumcision doesn't seem to be involved enough to capture what was done.
Thank you all,
Eleanor

Do your urologists perform tumor thrombus/radical nephrectomy cases? If so, how do you typically code them? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
