Traumatic Foot Fasciotomy

One of my Md's states he did a fasciotomy of 9 compartments of one foot and is complaining about the reimbursement value for CPT 28008. He is questioning if there is a more appropriate code since this was such a traumatic crushing injury?? Any advice?
