yeah a correction finally in the CPT assistant regarding peroneals

Feb 2016:
"In the January 2015 issue of CPT® Assistant (p 13), the Surgery:
Musculoskeletal System FAQ regarding the coding of a peroneal tendon repair
erroneously described the peroneal tendon as an extensor tendon, rather than a
flexor tendon. Upon further review by our CPT Specialty Advisors, the
peroneal tendons are considered “flexors” or evertors. Only the peroneus tertius
tendon has “extensor” capability. Therefore, code 28200, Repair, tendon,
flexor, foot; primary or secondary, without free graft, each tendon, should
be reported for each tendon repair performed, as indicated in the code
descriptor."
