Intraoperative fracture

Surgery was performed for a right displaced femoral neck fracture and a displaced intertrochanteric fracture of the femur. While reaming for the femoral stem the distal femur fractured. Can we charge for intraoperative distal femur fracture? Thanks!

    I believe if the surgeon caused the fracture during surgery you cannot bill for it.
