Laminectomy/Spinal Fracture
Is it appropriate to bill a 63003 and 63056 with 22327? I've seen documentation that the laminectomy is incorporated with the fracture code.
PostOp DX: L1 fracture with T12/L3 fracture dislocation
Partial T12 and L1 laminectomy was performed. Partial L1 corpectomy including right sided pediculectomy was performed for better reduction and decompression, right sided pedicle and anterior vertebral body is a single free floating pieace. After removing the free floating piece, spinal cord looks completely decompressed both anteriorly or posteriorly. Once all the screws were in position, the rods were bent to fit the thoracolumbar junction and the fracture was reduced and stabilized to the rods.
